OUR STORY - How did it all start?
IT ALL STARTED
IN SUMMER 2012
when a child - Fani Ntinoudi - visited a Greek island (Samothraki) for summer get-away. Between the dazzling beach, cold swimming at waterfalls and amazing people, it didn't take long for Fani to fall in love with the laid-back way of life.
she ran over a craftsman, whose beautiful cord jewelry caught the simple beauty of Samothraki. Fani requested that the craftsman show her how to make jewelry. And that’s when the fun really began...
BACK IN HOME
Starts making macrame for a hole year strait, put the jewelry on display and selling out completely. And it hit her: These pieces were more than just simple macrame. They were a movement to start the journey of making ethnic jewelry with fantasia or Ethnasia. Translating Ethnasia is more than just a word. It’s a lifestyle. One that’s all about enjoying life’s little pleasures, slowing things down and living life to the fullest.
TO SPREAD THE
around the world, Fani teamed up with Harris Tokamanis to create handcrafted ethnic collections, each one as unique as the person wearing it. What started out as selling just a few macrame a week has grown into a worldwide movement with a lot of jewelry.
to expand ethnic art worldwide and giving back has always been at the core of what we do, which is why we will create a Charity Collection. We’re always striving to do more and are constantly on the lookout for more charities that can benefit from Ethnasia.
